Forestry Commission plans 03 August 2008 At the recent Lesmahagow Community Council [LCC] meeting on 31 July two members of the Forestry Commission presented details of the land they’ve purchased from Auchlochan Estates. LCC hope to have copies of the maps available for viewing at the Library and the Resource Centre within the next few days. The Forestry Commission have not yet finalised their strategy for the land but have indicated it will be mainly broad-leaf trees. They intend to provide walkways etc. and are asking residents to contact them with details of any suggestions re existing or new walkways.
