Doors Open 2010 is a great success so it's now time to look forward to 2011 and we need your opinions... What did you like? What didn't you like? Let us know!
This year’s event is earlier than usual this year; it will take place on Wednesday 17th November 2010. This is to give you the opportunity to buy Christmas presents and cards on the night from a wide variety of local businesses and organisations. The majority of shops will be open and the village halls will be full of stalls. Santa will also make a special appearance in the Jubilee Hall.
There are a few other changes too. During the fortnight leading up to the open evening you can take part in a window spotting competition in our main street. The shopkeepers will place something in their window which they do not sell. Competitors will try to spot all the misplaced objects. Entry forms will be available in the shops, as well as one coming through your door. Post boxes for completed entries will be available in the main street. The winner will be drawn at Doors Open. Take this opportunity to compete in this free competition to win a fab prize as well as seeing what is available in Lesmahagow shops – it will amaze you!
On the evening of Doors Open you will get the opportunity to buy a programme of events and be entered into a prize draw. The programme will include details about all the stall holders and shops. We also plan to have entertainment running throughout the evening in Lesmahagow Old Parish Church, details of which will also be in the programme.
If you run a local business or organisation and wish to participate in this very popular event please email doorsopen@lesmahagowdevtrust.com or phone Jane on 895743.
